As of the last few years, one of my dreams has been to take all my vinyl (records for those of you who do not remember) and change it into digital (computer & CD) to make it easier to listen to.
I was recently reading a review of a turntable that connects to a computer via USB. That may be the answer!
Distributed with this device is open source software called "Audacity" which is a slick little recording program that can be used for all sorts of audio editing. It is, in fact, multi-track recording software... Cool!
