Toto’s “Africa” performed by Perpetuum Jazzile
Brian from the Coverville podcast posted this and thought I'd share it here. I love the sound effects they create at the beginning of the song but found they sound better through headphones than my laptop speakers.
Joel. You are right, The rain and thunder sounds they make at the begininng of the song are very innovative and fantastic! The song is well timed, in tune and overall lots of fun. BUt you were wrong when you say they don't have a noticeable accent at all. When the men are singing (some words like you and there) you can tell they are not native Enlish speakers. But I am very critical music listener so the average listener would probably not pick their accents up at all. That was a fu song though and very well done.
